“Complaint is a door that closes opportunity.”

Do you ever notice those people who tend to complain about everything, also tend to have lots of problems in their life? I suggest that their “problems” are a product of their complaints; not the other way around.

Although I’m sometimes tempted to complain about things, I recognize that any form of judgment, criticism or complaint serves only to block what is possible. I prefer to stand back and observe; letting things happen.

“I believe that we’re more free and secure based on the things that we can do without, rather than the things we’ve got to have.”

“Show me a man who has all of your answers, and I’ll show you a man who has few of his own.”

I’d agree that the expectation of those things that we want perfect in others is really a protection or defense of those things we see as not perfect, or the way we want them, in ourselves.

Someone once told me that real humility is the pure acceptance of my God-given excellence.
